Donate your points
So far, we've "raised" over $250 by donating your points back to the community! We recently sent over to Hope Clinic about $180 worth of products, including laundry liquid, hand soaps, dish soaps, menstrual supplies, and more. We also have about $70 worth of products waiting to be donated!
This December, consider donating your loyalty points to support our community. At checkout, ask to donate your Loyalty points! Yes, everyone who shops at BYOC Co. gets loyalty points on refills and receives $5 off every $100 you spend. You can donate any amount to the "fund" and I will continuously donate an equivalent amount of personal care products and cleaning products to the community. I will connect with community orgs and/or direct community members for donations of any of our products.

SCRAP Creative Reuse: End of Year Fundraiser
Join us in celebrating Why We SCRAP!
December 28 | 12pm-2pm | SCRAP Creative Reuse, 4567 Washtenaw Ave
ALL ticket sales go towards reaching our year end fundraising goal! At SCRAP Creative Reuse, we know creativity and sustainability go hand in hand. Every button, fabric scrap, and paper piece has a story—and your donation helps keep those stories alive.
Your support keeps materials out of landfills and fuels art, learning, and community creativity. When you give, tell us why you SCRAP! Our stores can’t cover all our costs—your generosity makes our programming possible. Do you reuse to inspire your students? Save resources? Spark imagination? We’d love to hear your story.
Together, our “whys” make a world of difference.
WHAT TO EXPECT!
Creative reuse crafting | Catered lunch from MAIZ Mexican Cantina | The opportunity to donate an additional $5 for a tour of our processing area and a history lesson on our journey at SCRAP, Lead by our Executive Site Director.| The chance to win a door prize from BYOC Co. | The chance to win a jewelry set from Kendra Scott

The Michigan Deathcare Collaborative is hosting a full-day community event in Spring 2026 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Together, we’ll explore what it means to prepare for the end of life - not alone, but in community.
Attendees will leave with a tangible item: a personalized planning binder filled with worksheets, resources, and practical tools to help you organize your wishes and important documents in one place. Throughout the day, you’ll hear from local speakers, learn about natural and community-based deathcare options, and discover resources you may not have known existed.
We know this work can feel daunting, emotional, and deeply personal. That’s why we’re creating a supportive space to help you take meaningful steps, easing the future burdens on your loved ones while advocating for your own values and needs.
Following the event, we’ll host monthly drop-in meetings to offer continued accountability, encouragement, and connection as you complete your plans at your own pace.

Join me and Andrea Masterson, of Captialism for Good, to discuss the inner workings of how to create a zero-waste store. Capitalism for Green is all about what it's like to own and operate a small business, values-driven refill store with the help of the community around us.
